think and analyze..hv faith

Teringat ketika malam pertama tiba, “Alhamdulillah, back to the place”, kata hati saya selepas membuka pintu bilik.

Hmm…

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

The first week here was challenging I daresay, having to face something that I never faced before. A thing yet so common which I think other people are facing even at this moment. But never mind that, InshaAllah it’s settled. (Alhamdulillah and tq very much Ma n Ba). As dreadful and maybe scary a problem may be, however on the other hand, facing problem really teaches me to muhasabah diri to the max, and I think that’s one of His mysterious way of teaching us.

And so was I, reflecting, thinking and contemplating each time the ATM machine replied:

“your bank does not allow this transaction”,

“no response from your bank”,

“your transaction is not allowed”.

..Thinking about what I’ve done, convincing myself this is just a test, now is ramadhan and therefore I should be patient and many more. And the result of that flashbacks, loads of thing surfaced in my mind such as my misdeeds etc. I remembered the night before I went to Moscow to catch my flight to Volgograd, I was so scared and that night I think was the one of the most frustrating and panickest moment of my life. I can’t sleep, and was starting to zikr and muhasabah sedalam-dalamnya. Mulalah tersedar, last few days maybe ada takabbur di sana, sum’ah di situ and the list went on.

Interesting is how the fitrah of the insan (human). If everything is fine, they wouldn’t think and contemplate much, and they would just live their lives as they are. Boasting and mula bermegah. No need to think about Allah much. However, when something goes wrong, they will start to become humble and god-concious, or, if it might be worse – putus asa dari rahmat Allah. Naudzubillahiminzalik. How true are His statements…

“And when harm touches men, they cry sincerely only to their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; but when He gives them a taste of His mercy, behold, a party of them associates partners in worship with their Lord.” (QS 30:33)

“And if We give man a taste of mercy from Us, and then withdraw it from him, verily, he is despairing, ungrateful. But if We let him taste good (favor) after evil (poverty and harm) has touched him, he is sure to say: "Ills have departed from me.'' Surely, he is exultant and boastful (ungrateful to Allah).Except those who show patience and do righteous good deeds: those, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (Paradise).” (QS 11:9-11)

Islam is a unique teaching. Far from those man-made philosophies, the way Islam view towards all the phenomenon in this world is undoubtedly 100% correct. Given to the fact that Allah is The One who created everything, and thus of course He know the truth, the significance and everything about everything that is happening in this world. And so, what does Islam teaches us about test, ordeals, obstacles, patience..?

“And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient).” (QS 2:155)

“Barangsiapa yang dikehendaki baik oleh Allah, maka Dia akan menimpakan (musibah) kepadanya.” (HR Bukhari)

“And We will surely, try you until We know those who strive among you and the patient, and We will put to a test all your affairs.” (QS 47:31)

“As for those who strive hard for Us, We will surely guide them to Our paths. And verily, Allah is with the doers of good.” (QS 29:69)

********************************************************

-Ordeals and tests in whatever form are certain, and we will face them definitely.

-We are not damned by those ordeals, but it’s a sign of Allah’s attention at us, to give us goodness.

-Those ordeals are a test to see are we among those who strive for Him

-Allah will give hidayah to those strivers.

*********************************************************

InshaAllah, when being tested and facing difficulties in life, true Muslims would stand firm by their faith that all those ordeals came from Allah. They will try as hard as they can to not give up. They will motivate themselves that Allah intended to teach them something, which if they stay to be faithful, reward from Allah they will get.

Brothers and sisters, let us try to be that kind of Muslims!

And let us install, Islam’s paradigm, as our neraca towards test, ordeals and patience.

waAllahua’alam

”O you who believe! Seek help in patience and As-Salah (the prayer). Truly, Allah is with As-Sabirin (the patient).” (QS 2:153)
